Direct Pressure Laminate has a maximum of 4 layers. The layers are bound using 600 pounds of pressure for every inch. The material is cheaper and less durable than High Pressure Laminate.

Before Installing

While our laminate flooring products are designed to be durable, not every product in our catalogue is completely water-resistant. While the installation of our laminate floor doesn’t require you to tear down old surfaces, we always make it clear to you that new laminate flooring will increase your floor level by about 3/8 inches. In some cases, some of our clients ask us to remove the old surfaces so as not to raise the floors too much.

Our experts recommend leaving the laminate planks in the room where the installation will be done for at least 48 hours. This helps the planks to contract or stretch as per the temperature or humidity levels in the target room. Doing this helps avoid the issue of the planks buckling after installation.

Getting the Surface Ready
